The central goal of the BSP is to improve achievement for students.
We also have a few programs specifically for students, including Harvard Explorations , the AP Science Support Program , and occasional field trips and other visits. Graduate students have been supported as part of the BSP Fellowship . Students who are interested in getting involved in these programs should talk to their teachers. Students who want to learn more about opportunities through other local programs should go here
BSP programs for students
- Laboratory enrichment programs are offered after school or on Saturdays for students taking AP Biology, AP Chemistry, or AP Physics.
- Tutoring and mentoring are offered by the BSP and Harvard Medical School’s Office of Diversity and Community Partnerships.
- An AP practice exam session is held at University of Massachusetts Boston in April to help students taking AP Biology, AP Chemistry, AP Physics B, or AP Environmental Science prepare for the AP exam.
BSP programs are offered at no cost to grades six through twelve science students in the Boston Public Schools.
